The Best Halloween Ever

What a great day and night. The weather was perfect, Amber didn't work, Frank was off at 1100 hours. This was one of the best Halloweens we've had, doing just about everything we possibly fit in during the day... and night. We finally made it back home about 8:30.

School Time and Parade of Costumes

After the parade of costumes, we were able to bounce back and forth to Graycie and Mia's class helping out with each of the classes Halloween party. What a total screw-off day it was for the kids and teachers, but they all looked like they had a great time!

Kids Class Halloween Parties

We were both able to get to the kids school in time for both classes to parade around the other classrooms. Each class took turns touring the classrooms showing off their costumes. Pretty neat too watch 500 kids walk around, each with different costumes. Amber's sponge bob was a huge hit, everyone knew sponge bob! Amber made the costume at home by painting the face on a cardboard box.

Time to go Trick or Treat!

The girls had such a good time trick or treating. The weather was a little nippy but perfect, no clouds, no wind, no moisture... perfect. There were tons of people in and out of the neighborhood. We set off with the Joe and his girls and had a good time. The kids each got about 5 lbs of candy, which most of it will find its way lost. We filled up our cups full of wine, grabbed Pinot, and headed off throughout the neighborhood. We must have hit 50 houses last night. They kids had a BLAST!

A beautiful Idaho Fall Weekend

A very nice weekend weather-wise here in Idaho Falls. A cool 65 degrees, sunny, not a cloud in the sky. We didn't do much, continuing the winterizing of the house and yard. Frank went fishing a bit here in town with Steve. We went just under the new bridge about 5 minutes from home on the Snake. We build a fire, hung out, and let the dogs run. The girls went down to the river later to goof of throwing rocks and hiking with the dogs. Amber continued with the laundry room work and tinkered around the house.

Sunday was great weather too. We completely cleaned the garage, Frank cut and fit more dry-wall for the laundry room shelves and Amber carried on with her painting and priming. The girls did nothing but play, play, play. I think we saw them for a few minutes here and there. They were in and out, our house or the Millers and back and forth.

We took the kids to Boo at the Zoo tonight. A favorite quote of mine from C Heston in Planet of the Apes... "It's a madhouse... a MADHOUSE!" :) There were tons of people there but very tolerable compared to the years past. Amber and Frank had to properly sedate with wine beforehand so it wasn't that bad. The kids get to go throughout the zoo and trick or treat in their costumes. The animals were very active tonight, probably wonder WTF all these people are doing here so late.
