Pumpkin patch - fishing - and the new playland

Not wanting to be on the computer that much so here's a few pictures of the last few days. We took the kids over to the pumpkin patch in Idaho Falls, just West of Tautphaus Park about 5 minutes away. They were able to play in the hay maze and pick up a few pumpkins which we carved tonight. We also took them to Tautphaus Park's new kids toy. Unbelievable job the city has done, what a fun toy for the kids. Went fishing and are getting the yard and outside ready for Winter. Have a great week!

Pictures of the last week

Nothing really going on but school, work, and a little playing outside. We had some snow but the last week has been beautiful, perfect Fall weather. Frank went to the Swan Valley area motorbiking in the mountains and saw the fall colors all over the valley. All the trees in the neighborhood have changed. I'm pretty sure my finger is broke, I ate sh*t 4 times throughout the ride, but had a great time with a bunch of buddies.

Also, our neighbor Sonya is an artist and she drew Mia's face from a photo she took. We took the girls over to the Idaho Falls Art place to check out her drawing in the gallery during open house. Unfortunately an artist bought it from Chicago and her picture is off to Illinois! Here's a copy of it, she did such a GREAT job!!!

I'm sure we'll be posting more photos in a few weeks when halloween comes along. Here's a few pics and a vid or two of the last week... Some of the longer, narrower photos are panoramic shots... and remember you can always click on a photo to see the original size.

A busy first week in October

We've had a busy last few weeks. The weather has been slowly turning chillier as the days go on. The first day of Fall was like a button was pressed. Gone with the hot and in with the nice chilly breeze... and the best fishing for a few months. Not to mention the multiple targets while bunny hunting which starts in 25 days. Also, we're getting Graycie out this year to shoot Pine Hen with us an hopefully Dove.

Frank and Amber got the rest of their tattoos completed. We went with our friends Christian and Tammy who got their first tats. All went well and they turned out just perfect.

THE SNOW!!! We woke up today (Saturday) and there was about 4" of snow on the ground and it snowed the entire day. Turned to rain later in the day but it's 6pm and there is sh*tloads of snow on the roof and grass. Watching the news, I guess it was the worst snow we've had in years this early in Fall.

The kids got to play in the snow for about an hour while Frank and Amber shoveled a bit and we were knocking the snow off the trees every 30 minutes before they snapped. We were lucky and had zero damage or tree fatalities. But, while we were outside it sounded like the fourth of July. But, they weren't fireworks, they were trees snapping. All over the neighborhood trees were coming down.

The houses behind ours had a few giant trees split and ripped down the power, phone, and cable wires... there were tons of wires down all over the city. We never lost power but it flickered quite a bit throughout the day.

Driving around the neighborhood in the snow, everyone was clearing the branches and some streets were impassable due to large trees across the road. It looked as if a few guys came through the neighborhood, armed with M-60's and laid down a hail of bullets all over the trees. Some streets with a tons of trees looked like a war zone.

Other than that...nothing. Amber and the kids started hanging up the Halloween decorations, Frank got the first load of wood chopped and put away in the bin. Next week's weather will be back in the mid 60's and hopefully we're done with the white stuff for a month or so.
